Jay Mech is located over on Bunder Street in Nanpura, right near the old Sailor Club. It’s an interesting part of town with a lot of history. Our shop at 1/661 isn't the biggest place, but it's where we do all our mechanical work. You’ll usually find me or one of the guys covered in a bit of grease by mid-morning. We handle a lot of small mechanical repairs and parts fabrication. The salt air from the nearby water can be tough on the equipment, so we spend a fair amount of time on maintenance. It’s a busy street, so there’s always something going on outside our door. We’ve been here for years, and most of the locals know they can just drop in if they have a question about a machine part. We don't have a receptionist; you just walk in and talk to whoever isn't busy with a wrench. The building is old and the floors are a bit uneven, but it serves us well. We don't do fancy brochures or sales pitches. We just look at the problem and see if we can fix it. It's a simple way to run a business, and it keeps us occupied. Sometimes we close up a bit early if the work is done, but usually, we’re there until the sun goes down. It's just honest mechanical work without any of the extra fluff you see in big cities. We like the neighborhood and the people who stop by.
