Working out of Mahuva Terminal 2/B/C in Andheri East means there is absolutely never a quiet moment during the day. Jay Jalaram Electronics is our little spot right in the middle of all that constant city bustle. We deal with all sorts of gadgets, wires, and broken circuit boards every single day. The main workbench is always covered in old tools, screwdrivers, and those tiny little screws that are so easy to lose if you blink. We get people coming in from the terminal or the nearby offices, and they are usually in a big hurry because something they own has stopped working. We do not have a big fancy showroom with glass cases or bright lights. It is more of a practical, messy space where we can actually sit down and do the work of fixing things. The air inside often smells like solder and hot plastic. We are not big on talking about things like innovation or technology trends. We just look at the physical problem and try to find a real way to make the device run again. Sometimes a specific part takes a few days to arrive by mail, and we have to explain that delay to the customer. It is not always an easy conversation, but we do our best to be honest. The lights above the bench are very bright so we can see what we are doing on the small boards. We drink a lot of strong tea to stay sharp through the long, busy afternoons and early evenings.
