Jass Telecom

Jass Telecom is over in Adajan Dn 12, and it’s usually a bit of a squeeze inside. We have racks of phone cases and chargers lining the walls from floor to ceiling. People come in all day long asking about data plans or needing a new SIM card set up. It feels like someone is always asking for a recharge right when I’m in the middle of counting the cash. The counter is a bit scratched up from all the phones being slid across it. We keep the door open to let some air in, but that also means the street noise comes right inside. It’s a lot of explaining the same things about different phone models to people who aren't really sure what they need. We have a small stool for customers to sit on if they have to wait, but usually, they just stand around. The lighting inside is a bit bright because we need to see the small print on the packaging. I’ve got a drawer full of old charging cables that probably don’t fit anything anymore, but I keep them just in case. Most days are just a blur of talking to customers and trying to keep the display looking somewhat decent. It gets quite hot in the afternoons when the sun hits the front of the shop. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the people who walk past every day. It's just a simple neighborhood business.
