If you’ve ever been down Varachha Road, you know how hectic it gets. Imagine Label is right in the middle of that at the Ashirwad Complex. We are just across from the Dhanamill Compound. Our space at U-14 is usually packed with rolls of paper and different types of adhesive materials. It’s a tight squeeze sometimes when a big shipment comes in. We spend a lot of time looking at tiny fonts and making sure the colors aren't too far off. Printing labels is a specific kind of job. It requires a bit of patience because the machines can be finicky. Sometimes they jam right when you are in a hurry. We mostly deal with local businesses that need stickers or tags for their products. The neighborhood is very industrial and busy, so there is always noise from the street coming through the windows. We don’t have much in the way of a lobby. It’s basically just the machines and a couple of desks for the paperwork. We drink a lot of tea to stay focused. Most days, the floor is covered in small paper scraps and backing strips. It’s just the nature of the business. We try to sweep up at the end of the day, but by the next morning, it looks the same again. It’s a steady pace here. We don't do anything flashy, just the work that’s on the table and making sure it gets done right before we head home.
