I B Silk Mill

You have to go all the way up to the fourth floor to find us here at I B Silk Mill. We are in unit S 4017 on Senapati Bapat Marg, right near the Ring Road area. It’s a large building and sometimes the elevator takes forever, so some of us just end up taking the stairs. It’s definitely not a fancy showroom. It’s more of a working space where things are constantly being moved around and sorted. We’ve got rolls of fabric and machines taking up most of the room. It gets a bit loud when everything is running, so we usually have to shout a bit to hear each other. We’ve been in this spot for quite some time now. The view from the fourth floor is mostly just roofs and the busy road below, but it's okay. We aren't really set up for window shoppers; it’s mostly people coming in for specific business needs. The lighting isn't the best in the back of the unit, but we make do. It’s a lot of long hours and manual work. My brothers and I handle the day-to-day stuff, from checking the stock to making sure orders are ready. It’s a bit of a maze in this building if you aren't used to it. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure we stay on top of the schedule. It's nothing special, just an honest day's work in a crowded building.
