Hindalco

You can find us at C 18 in Surastra Society 2, over in Surat. It’s more of a residential-feeling area, which makes the office feel a bit more comfortable than those cold steel buildings downtown. We’ve been here for a while, and the neighbors mostly know us by now. We handle various tasks for Hindalco from this spot, mostly administrative stuff and keeping track of the Gujarat operations. The office is usually a bit cluttered with samples and folders, but we know where everything is. Surat is a busy city, but our little corner of the society is relatively calm. We don't have a big sign out front or a fancy lobby. If you walk in, you’ll probably see someone sorting through a stack of mail or talking on the phone with a contractor. We aren't really the type to use big words to describe what we do. We’re just here to work and make a living. Usually, there's someone bringing in snacks to share in the afternoon. We talk about the local cricket scores more than we talk about business strategies. It’s a decent place to spend the day, and we try to keep the atmosphere light. We just do our best to stay organized and get the shipments moving through the system without too many delays. That's the way we've always done things here.
