Geelan Fabrics

Geelan Fabrics is located in the New Textile Market, which everyone just calls NTM. We are on the Ring Road in Surat. Our shop is number 508 on the upper ground floor. If you’ve ever been to the textile market, you know it’s a world of its own. It’s always crowded with laborers carrying heavy bales of cloth and traders looking for the best deals. Our space is filled with rolls of fabric in every color you can think of. We’ve been part of this market for a long time. The shelves go all the way to the ceiling, and sometimes we have to use a ladder just to show a sample to a customer. It’s a dusty environment because of all the fabric fibers in the air, but that’s just part of the job. We spend our days measuring cloth, talking to weavers, and shipping out orders to different parts of the country. It’s a fast-paced business and you have to stay on your toes. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights and mirrors. It’s a working shop where the focus is entirely on the fabric and the trade. The Ring Road outside is always jammed with trucks, so getting things in and out can be a challenge. We just keep at it, day after day. It’s what we know how to do and we like the market life.
