Our place is over in the Gajanand Estate on S B Road, tucked away in the Suryadarshan Apartment building. If you know the Adajan area, you know it gets pretty crowded around here during the day. We are in unit B-603. It’s basically where all the work happens for our textile engineering parts. There is always the sound of metal clicking or someone moving heavy crates across the floor. The office part is small, mostly just enough room for a couple of computers and some old ledgers we still keep around. We spend a lot of time looking at technical drawings and talking to people about machinery issues. It’s dusty work, especially when the shutters are open and the breeze from the road blows in. We’ve been in this spot for a good bit of time now. The neighbors in the estate are mostly doing similar things, so there is a lot of back and forth between the units. Sometimes we share tools or just chat about how the industry is moving along. We don't have a big reception area or anyone to greet you at the door; you just walk in and find someone at a desk. It’s a bit messy with spare parts and grease at times, but that’s just how an engineering shop looks when people are actually working. We just try to keep things moving and get the orders out as they come in. It’s a long day usually, but we get things done eventually.
