The shop here at Kamrej F-127 is usually pretty busy with people dropping off phones that have cracked screens or batteries that do not hold a charge anymore. We have been doing this for a while now. It started because everyone around here kept breaking their stuff and did not want to drive all the way into the main city for a simple fix. We spend most of the day looking at tiny screws and trying to get ribbons back in place. Sometimes the parts take a few days to arrive, which is frustrating for everyone, but we try to get things back to people as soon as we can. It is a small space, mostly filled with tools and some old chargers we keep for testing. If you walk past the shop, you will see a lot of old phone cases in the window. We do not really do much fancy stuff, just fixing what is broken. The lighting inside isn't the best, but it works for what we need. People know us as the place to go when their phone will not turn on after dropping it in water. We do not have a big staff, just a couple of us who know our way around a circuit board. Most days we are just drinking tea and waiting for the glue on a screen to dry. It is not glamorous work, but phones are expensive and people really need them to work for their daily lives.
