Hakeemchichi Pharmacy

My family has been here on Hakeem Chichi Street for a long time. People around here know where the shop is because it’s right in the middle of Ranitalao. We deal with medicines and basic health stuff every day. Sometimes it gets really busy and the shelves look a bit messy, but we know where everything is kept. You walk in and usually see one of us behind the old counter. It isn't a fancy place with bright lights or those fancy glass walls you see in malls. It's just a pharmacy. We keep the usual things people need when they have a bad cold or a headache. Gujarat weather gets really hot in the afternoons, so the ceiling fan is always running. Most of the folks who come in are neighbors we've seen growing up or families from the next block over. We don't have a huge staff, just a few of us making sure people get what their doctor wrote down on those little slips of paper. Sometimes we have to wait for a few days for deliveries if something special is out of stock. That's just how it goes here. Ranitalao is a tight community, and we are just another part of the street life. There's no big flashing sign or anything special. If you need something for a fever or a bandage, you just stop by. We try to keep things simple. It’s hard work standing all day, but it’s just what we do.
