This branch of the company is located out in Dahej, which is basically the heart of the industrial zone in Vagra. If you have ever been to the GIDC area here, you know it is just miles of factories and big plants. Our setup is pretty massive, and it can be a bit overwhelming if you aren't used to it. We spend our time managing the alkali and chemical production lines. There are always trucks moving and people in hard hats walking around the site. It is a lot of logistics to keep track of, but we have a system that works for us. The sea is quite close, so you get that salty air mixing with the industrial smells. It’s a unique place to work, that’s for sure. We have people here from all over, some staying in the local colonies and others commuting in. The work is constant because the plant runs all the time. We don't really have "quiet days" here. There is always a valve to check or a report to finish. We aren't trying to be anything fancy; we are just an industrial plant doing our part in the Dahej hub. It’s a lot of grey concrete and steel pipes, but there is a certain rhythm to it that you start to appreciate after working here for a long time. It is just a solid, busy place to be.
