G.T.Sheth Orthopaedic Hospital

Down here in Surat, G.T.Sheth Orthopaedic Hospital has been around for quite a while. Our focus is mostly on bones and joints, so you’ll see a lot of people walking with crutches or using wheelchairs in the hallways. The hospital building isn't the newest one in the city, but it’s sturdy and everyone knows where it is. We have these wide corridors so it’s easier for people to get around. The floors are that speckled tile you see in older buildings. Our reception area is usually full of people sitting on the long metal benches waiting for their turn. It can get pretty hot in Surat during the summer months, so we keep the fans going constantly. You can hear the hum of them in every room. The staff here is used to the routine of helping people get back on their feet. We have different rooms for exams and some larger areas where people do their recovery movements. It’s not a quiet place by any means; there’s always the sound of voices, rolling carts, and the occasional phone ringing. We don't have fancy decorations on the walls, just the basic stuff we need to get through the day. Everyone works together to make sure the patients are seen. It’s a busy life here at the hospital, but it’s what we do. The local tea guy comes around in the afternoons which is a nice break for everyone.
