Our office is tucked away on the third floor of Jolly Plaza, specifically in units 304 and 305. Being in Athwagate means there is always traffic and noise downstairs, but it gets a little quieter once you take the lift up. We deal with bones and joints mostly. People come in limping or holding their wrists after a fall. The chairs in the waiting area are a bit stiff, but they get the job done. We’ve got some X-ray prints pinned up and a lot of medical charts scattered around the desk. It’s a bit of a maze in Jolly Plaza if you aren’t used to it, but once you find our door, it’s pretty straightforward. The lighting is a bit bright, the kind you find in most old office buildings. We see a lot of older folks who have trouble with their knees and younger guys who got hurt playing sports over the weekend. Sometimes we run a bit behind schedule because a consultation takes longer than we thought it would. That’s just how it goes here. We don't have a big front desk staff, just a couple of us handling the phones and the files. The view from the window is just more buildings and the tops of cars. It is a busy place to work, but we are used to the pace of Athwagate by now.
