Gopi Label

The machines are always humming at our place in Patel Nagar Industry. We are located at Plot No. B-35, near the Kapargao Ashram. It’s an industrial area, so there is always noise and people moving about. We handle labels here. It’s mostly about getting the ink right and making sure the rolls are cutting properly. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend the whole afternoon fixing a jam, which is frustrating but part of the job. We aren't a big corporate office with glass walls. It’s a workshop floor. There are stacks of paper everywhere and the smell of glue is something you just get used to after a week. Most of us have been working together for years, so we know each other's habits. Lunch is usually eaten quick so we can get back to the orders. The sun hits the front of the building hard in the summer. We try to keep the place tidy, but when you're busy with labels, scraps of paper end up on the floor. It’s a honest day's work. We don't do anything flashy. We just make sure the labels come out clean and the customer gets what they asked for. If you find yourself near the ashram, you'll probably hear our machines running. It’s a busy spot but we like it that way. We keep a box of old labels in the corner just in case someone needs to see examples of what we have done before.
