Ethicare Pharmaceutical

Our office is based in B-211 at the IBC building in Piplod. If you spend time in Piplod, you know it’s a pretty active part of town with a lot of businesses crammed together. At Ethicare Pharmaceutical, we mostly focus on the distribution and handling side of things. It’s not a shop where people just walk in off the street for a single bandage. Instead, we deal with larger batches of pharmaceutical products. The room at B-211 isn't huge but it fits our desks and the paperwork we have to keep track of. There is always a lot of logging to do because everything has to be accounted for in this industry. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers or checking when the next shipment is supposed to arrive at the docks or the warehouse. The IBC building has its own rhythm, and we’ve gotten used to the noise of the elevators and the people in the hallway. It’s simple work in a way, just making sure things move from one place to another without any mix-ups. We start early and usually stay until the last manifest is signed. It isn't a glamorous job but it keeps us busy throughout the week. Sometimes the air conditioning struggles in the summer heat, but we just get on with it. Piplod is a good location for us because of the transport links around here for the trucks.
