Engg College

We are located out in Mota, which is a small village area near Bardoli. Most people in the Surat district know this place for the farms, but we’ve been running this college here for a while. It’s a quiet spot, away from the main city noise. The roads out here can get a bit dusty during the dry season, but it’s peaceful. We started this because there weren't many places for local students to study technical stuff without traveling all the way to Surat. The campus isn't anything massive, just some practical buildings where we teach. We have a lot of students who come from the surrounding villages. They usually arrive on their bikes or take the local bus that drops them near the post office. We spend our days going over mechanical parts and electrical circuits. It’s hands-on work. Sometimes the rain gets really heavy and we have to watch out for leaks, but we manage. The staff here are mostly local folks who have been here since the start. We eat lunch together in the small canteen area. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We just focus on getting the lessons done and helping the students get their certificates. There is a sense of community here that you don't find in the big city institutions. We like it this way. It feels right to be part of the village life and help out.
