Dwarkesh Fab is located at Plot 305 in the Jay Radhe Industrial Estate. This is in the Sachin area of Surat, which is basically the heart of the textile industry around here. It is a very busy spot with trucks and tempos constantly moving in and out of the estate. Our place is basically a large workspace where we handle the fabrication process. It’s loud and there is always a bit of lint flying around in the air. We don't really have a fancy office; we just have a desk in the corner where we keep the records. Most of our time is spent out on the floor with the workers. We aren't afraid to get our hands dirty when a machine gets jammed or a shipment needs to be moved quickly. It’s the kind of place where everyone knows everyone else’s business because the walls are thin and we all share the same tea stall nearby. We started this because we knew the fabric trade well and wanted to work for ourselves. It’s not always easy, and some months are a real struggle when the market is down. But we just keep going and do the best we can with what we have. It’s a plain, simple business without any of the corporate polish you see in the city.
