Darshan Lace Industries

Darshan Lace Industries is located at Sr.38, Plot No. 9, right across from GIDC 117 in the Kamlakuj Complex. Khatodara is a busy industrial hub, and our place fits right in with the surroundings. It’s mostly just a production floor with some machines that hum all day long. The noise becomes like background music after you’ve worked here for a few weeks. We produce a lot of different lace and trimmings. It’s a lot of repetitive work, watching the threads and making sure nothing gets tangled up. We have a small crew, and everyone knows their station. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, especially in the summer, so we keep the fans going at full blast. Our office is just a tiny room off to the side where we keep the ledgers and the telephone. It’s not the kind of place where you’d find fancy carpets or art on the walls. We are more focused on keeping the machines running and meeting the daily quotas. Sometimes things break down and we have to spend hours greasy and tired trying to get them started again. That’s just part of the industry. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a polished image. We’re just here to do the work and get the orders out the gate as they come.
