Dakshina Academy

We’ve set up shop on the third floor of the Western Corridor building. It’s right on the Adajan Hazira Road, which stays pretty busy throughout the day. We have two units, 301 and 302, knocked together to give us a bit more room for the students to sit. Being on the third floor is nice because it gets us away from some of the street noise, though you can still hear the horns honking down on the road. The elevator in the building can be a bit slow sometimes, so a lot of us just take the stairs. It’s good exercise I suppose. We don’t have much in the way of fancy furniture. It’s mostly just sturdy desks and chairs that have seen a lot of use over the years. We like it here in Surat because the people are friendly and they take education seriously. We spend most of our time planning lessons or talking to students about their goals. It’s a straightforward environment without any unnecessary frills. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't quite gotten around to it yet. We're more concerned with what’s happening in the classroom than the decor. It’s a practical place for people who want to learn. Just come up to the third floor and you’ll find us easily enough. We keep the door open for anyone who wants to stop by.
