Current Systems

Down here at Surat 1/948, we run Current Systems. It’s a bit of a crowded spot, but we make it work with all the gear we have tucked away on the shelves. Mostly, we deal with computers and different types of electronic systems that people use at home or in their small offices. It gets pretty dusty with all the wires and boxes lying around, but that’s just how it goes when you’re working with hardware all day long. Some days we are just puttering around with motherboard issues or trying to get a power supply to stop making that weird humming noise. People from around the neighborhood stop by when their setups aren't doing what they're supposed to. We don't have any big signs or flashy lights out front. Most people find us because they live nearby or a friend told them we were here at 1/948. It’s a quiet enough way to make a living, though the heat in Surat can get to you in the afternoons. We just keep the fan going and keep working through the pile of repairs. It's not the kind of place where you'll find fancy carpets. It’s more of a tools and parts kind of environment. We try to stay updated on the newer systems, but honestly, a lot of the older stuff still comes through the door too. We just take it as it comes.
