Checkmate Texsolutions Private Limited is based out of a ground floor unit in the Shashtri Nagar Society in Khatodra. Our address is H.No. 14/1643/G, which sounds a bit complicated when you say it out loud, but it’s actually easy to find once you get into the society area. Being on the ground floor helps because we don’t have to deal with stairs when people come by or when we have to move stuff around. Khatodra is a well-known spot in Surat for anything related to textiles, so it makes sense for us to be here. We focus on textile solutions, which covers a lot of ground in terms of what we do day to day. It’s a lot of technical talk and figuring out how to make things work better for our clients in the industry. The society is relatively quiet compared to the big markets, which we like. It gives us a bit of space to think and get our work finished without too many distractions. We’ve got our desks and equipment set up in a way that works for us. It’s a small team, so we all end up doing a bit of everything. There’s always some tea being made and someone checking on an order. It’s a simple operation, run by people who know the Surat textile scene fairly well. We just keep our heads down and do the work. Sometimes the power goes out but we have a backup. It is what it is for a small place like ours.
