Baba Ramdev Mobile

Life moves at its own pace here at Baba Ramdev Mobile. We are tucked away on P L Lokande Road in Bardoli, and it is the kind of street where everyone eventually passes by. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside, but it stays full of life. We spend a lot of time looking through small screws and tiny parts under a magnifying lamp. The shelves are stacked with phone boxes that have been there for a bit, mixed in with the new arrivals. On P L Lokande Road, you get all kinds of people coming in, from students to workers heading home. We usually have the radio playing quietly in the background, mostly to drown out the noise of the bikes outside. The floor is made of old tiles that have a few cracks, but they’ve held up well over the years. We keep a stash of rubber bands and cleaning cloths under the main desk because you always need them. There is a specific smell of electronics and maybe a bit of tea from the stall next door. It’s a honest living, just fixing screens and selling SIM cards to the locals. We don't use any big words or try to act like a corporate office. It is just a small business in Bardoli where we know most of the customers by their first names. We stay open until the street lights come on and the traffic finally starts to thin out.
