Baba Mobile Point is tucked away in Nanpura on 11th Cross, number 16. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, but people usually find us without too much trouble. I’ve been here for a few years now. The shop is mostly for mobile recharges and small repairs that don't take too long. We carry some second-hand phones too, for people who don't want to spend too much on a brand-new one. I check them myself to make sure they actually turn on and hold a charge properly. The space is small, so there isn't much room for a lot of people to stand inside at once. Usually, there’s a couple of plastic chairs for people waiting while I swap out a SIM card or try to fix a screen. Nanpura is an old part of town, and the buildings are very close together. I like the vibe here. My cousin helps me out during the evenings when it gets a bit more crowded. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just hear about us from their neighbors or family members. I think that’s the best way to do things in a place like this. Sometimes I get phones that are so old I have to hunt for parts in my scrap box for a long time. It’s a bit like a puzzle sometimes. I don’t mind it. It keeps the day interesting and keeps me busy. We stay open late because that's when most people are finished working and need their phones looked at.
