Awan Impex

Zampa Bazar is a loud and busy place to work. We are located in Fon House, on the first floor, right opposite the B.M.C. Bank. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know it’s a maze of shops and people. Awan Impex is right in the thick of it. The stairs up to our floor are a bit narrow and steep, but once you’re inside, it’s our own little world of trade. We do a lot of importing and exporting, which means the phone is always ringing and there are always stacks of shipping documents on the tables. It’s not a polished environment. We have tea stains on some of the desks and the paint is peeling a bit near the window. But it’s a place where real business happens. We spend our time talking to suppliers and trying to figure out where the containers are. The noise from the market downstairs never really stops, so we have to shout a bit to be heard sometimes. We don’t have a marketing department or a "vision" board. We just have a list of things to get done before the banks close. It’s the kind of place where you learn the trade by doing it, not by reading a book. We’ve been here long enough to know all the shopkeepers on the street by their first names. It is just how life is in the bazar.
