At Sachin Relief Road 102, things are usually moving pretty fast. This is where Arvind Telecom is, and it is a small shop squeezed between a grocery store and a tailor. We spend our days looking at tiny screws and circuit boards under a bright desk lamp. People come in all the time with phones that have screens looking like spider webs or batteries that won't hold a charge anymore. We sit on these stools that aren't very comfortable, but they do the job. The counter is covered in glass screen protectors and charging cables. Since we are on Sachin Relief Road, there is a constant stream of people walking past, and some pop in just to ask for directions or a quick recharge. It gets a bit cramped when more than three customers are inside at once. We have a small radio playing in the corner to keep us company while we work on the repairs. Sometimes the parts we need take a few days to arrive, so we have boxes piled up near the back. We try to keep things organized, but in a small space like 102, it is a bit of a struggle. We just take one phone at a time and try to get it back to the owner as soon as we can. It makes the long hours at the bench feel useful when someone gets their photos back. We like being the spot where people get their gadgets fixed.
