Working out of Shop No. 3191 in the Radha Raman Textile Market is an experience, to say the least. If you’ve been to Saroli, you know it’s just rows and rows of shops and a whole lot of bustle. At Arvachin Fablink Llp, we are right in the thick of it. The market is always loud with the sounds of carts being pushed and people shouting out prices. Our shop is where we keep our main stock and handle all the daily transactions. It’s a small space, mostly filled with bundles of cloth, so there isn’t much room to walk around. We don’t have fancy air conditioning or plush chairs, just a few stools and a sturdy counter. Every morning we roll up the shutters and start checking what came in overnight. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting and moving bales, but that’s the textile business for you. We see a lot of different people coming through the market doors every day. Some are regular buyers we’ve known for years, and others are just passing through looking for deals. We don't spend money on advertising; our presence in the market is enough. It’s a tiring job sometimes, especially when the heat picks up in the afternoon, but there’s a good sense of community among the traders in Radha Raman. We just keep our heads down and focus on the next order. It’s a simple life here and we like it that way.
