Varachha Road is always packed with people and the noise of traffic never really stops. Our shop is tucked into Krushnakunj Society, which is a bit of a relief from the main road chaos. We spend most of our day behind the glass counter looking at mobile screens. It’s amazing how many people crack their glass or need a new cover because they got bored of the old one. We have rows and rows of colorful cases hanging on the walls. Most of the time, it’s just me and maybe one other guy here. We don't have a big fancy showroom, just a simple place where you can get your phone fixed or buy a new charger that actually works. Sometimes the society kids come in just to look at the latest models we have in the display. We talk to them while we work on a soldering job or try to recover someone’s photos from a dead battery. The light inside is a bit bright so we can see the tiny screws, but it makes the shop stand out when it gets dark outside. People usually stop by on their way home from work. We try to keep things honest and tell them if a phone is actually worth fixing or if they should just save their money. It’s a steady pace of work and we like the people who live around here. There is always a lot of activity near the gate.
