You can find us at H No 1399/1400 on the ground and first floor in Hanumansheri. We’re located in Sagrampura, right near the Hanuman Temple, which is the easiest way for people to find the building. Being so close to the temple means we hear the bells and the prayers throughout the day, which gives the place a specific kind of feel. It’s an older part of Surat, so the streets are narrow and always full of scooters and pedestrians. Our association is where the local textile agents gather to talk about business and sort through their paperwork. The building itself is quite old, with stairs that are a bit steep and rooms that stay surprisingly cool even in the summer. We don’t have much in the way of fancy equipment, just the basics like desks, fans, and a few old computers. It’s a social place, too; people are always coming in to share news or just to catch up over a cup of tea. Sometimes the noise from the street makes it hard to hear on the phone, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We keep the doors open to let some air in, and there is always a bit of a breeze from the alley. It’s a humble spot, but it’s been home to our group for a long time. We mostly spend our time helping the agents with their daily problems and keeping things moving.
