Akai Distributer

Akai Distributer is located at Varachha Road 1st Cross. We mainly focus on getting products out to smaller shops around the city. It’s a lot of lifting and moving boxes throughout the day. The space isn’t very big, so we have to be careful about how we stack things so nothing falls over. We’ve been at this spot for a few years now. The 1st Cross is a busy little corner. You can always hear the horns and the street vendors nearby. We don’t spend much on decorations. The walls are mostly just covered in clipboards and calendars to keep track of what’s going out and what’s coming in. My cousin helps me out on the weekends when things get really hectic. We drink a lot of coffee to stay awake during those long shifts. People sometimes walk in thinking we’re a retail store, and we have to tell them we just do distribution. It happens at least once a day. The floor is concrete and has some cracks, but it holds up under the weight of the pallets. We know the other business owners on this block pretty well. We look out for each other’s shops. It’s a simple way of working. No big corporate meetings here, just us deciding what needs to get loaded onto the truck next. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know how to do best. We keep a small radio playing in the corner for some background noise.
