Aim Communication

We are over at Aim Communication, tucked into U 5 at Shankarji Chawl. It’s right where Anand Mahal Road meets Motera Road, so it stays pretty hectic outside most of the day. We’ve got phones all over the place, some new and some that people brought in because they dropped them or the screen went dark. Working in a small space like this means you have to be careful not to trip over charging cables. We spend a lot of time squinting at small parts and trying to explain why a battery isn't holding a charge like it used to. It’s not glamorous work. People come in when they are stressed because their phone stopped working, and we try to see what can be done. Some days the shop feels too small when three or four people are standing inside at once. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a while, so we know most of the people who walk past our door. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the entrance if the wind is blowing the wrong way, but we just put a bucket down and keep going. We don't have a website or anything like that, we just rely on people knowing where we are. It’s a simple life. We fix what we can, sell what we have, and try to keep the lights on. It’s just a normal shop on a busy street.
