Aditya Silk Mills

You’ll find Aditya Silk Mills on the 4th floor of Ashoka Tower. That’s over on Ring Road, specifically unit 4005. Being on the 4th floor means we spend a lot of time waiting for the lift or just taking the stairs if we’re in a hurry. It’s a bit of a climb. Up here, it’s mostly about the silk. We have rolls of it stacked up everywhere. The office is practical. We don’t have expensive furniture or art on the walls. We just have desks, phones, and a lot of fabric samples lying around. Ring Road is always jammed with traffic, so we hear the horns all day long. It becomes background noise after a while. We handle the mill operations and the sales from this one spot. It’s not a glamorous job, but we like it. We’ve been in Ashoka Tower for a good bit of time now. The staff here is small. We all know each other’s names and families. We don’t use those corporate titles. Everyone just pitches in when things get busy. When a customer calls, we answer. When a shipment arrives at the bottom, we go get it ourselves. It’s just a regular business day for us. We stay until the work is finished and the samples are put away. It’s what we do. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles, just silk and hard work.
