Aashirwad Textile Mills

We spend most of our days here at Rishab Tower in Sagrampura. It’s a busy part of town, especially around Gotalawadi where the traffic never seems to stop. The mill is on the 515/7 plot. If you come by, you’ll hear the machines running before you even see the door. Most of us have been working in textiles for a long time, so the dust and the noise are just part of the routine now. It isn't a fancy setup. We have our looms and the rolls of fabric stacked up wherever there is space. Some days are slower when the power acts up, but usually, we are just focused on getting the orders out. The workers here know their jobs well. We take our tea breaks together in the small alleyway. It's a lot of manual work, lifting heavy things and checking the threads. People around here know us because we’ve been in this building for quite a while. We don't really have a big office or anything, just a desk with a lot of ledgers and some old chairs. It gets hot in the summer, but that is just how it is in Surat. We try to keep things organized, though sometimes the piles of cloth get a bit messy. It’s just a regular workplace where we show up, do the manufacturing, and go home to our families.
