Being in a steel city means there is always something happening related to engineering. Our office is right in the middle of it all. The Civil Township is a bit more orderly than the busier industrial zones, which is nice. We have a good amount of space here for our drawings and the administrative side of things. It’s a professional but relaxed atmosphere. We don't wear suits or anything; it's mostly work shirts and boots if we’re headed out. The staff here has been around for a long time. We know the local vendors and the other businesses on the street. Rourkela can get incredibly hot, so the fans are always going in the office. We do our best to stay on top of the projects coming in from the group. It’s a lot of paperwork and phone calls throughout the day. People sometimes stop by for a chat or to drop off documents. We don't have a fancy waiting room, just some chairs and a table. It's a practical office for practical people. We just focus on getting the engineering tasks finished without too much fuss. It's not always easy, but we've got a good rhythm going here in Rourkela. Every day brings something a little different to our desks and we just handle it.
