Panchayat Samiti (Degree) College

Down in Bhedabahal, things are usually a bit slower than in the big cities. Our college, Panchayat Samiti (Degree) College, is right here in Sundargarh. The pin code is 770073. It’s a simple place where students from the nearby villages come to get their degrees. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. The classrooms are basic, and the furniture is heavy wood that’s been around for quite a while. You can hear the birds outside most of the day because we aren't surrounded by heavy traffic. We spend a lot of time just making sure the schedules are right and the exams are ready. It’s a small team of us working in the office. We know most of the students by name, or at least we recognize their faces. Sometimes the internet is slow, and we have to wait to get things uploaded. Life in Sundargarh is like that sometimes. We are just a local college doing what we can for the kids in Bhedabahal. The building is solid, and we keep it as clean as we can. It’s not a big institution with a lot of funding, but it serves the purpose. We see people graduating and moving on, and then a new batch comes in. It’s a cycle we’ve seen many times. We are just here on the ground, making sure the doors stay open and the classes happen. We also have a small library that stays quite busy during finals week.
