Panchayat Samiti Degree College

Out here in Bhedabahal, Panchayat Samiti Degree College is where most of the older students end up going. It is located in a quiet part of Sundargarh, so you do not get much of that city noise. The campus has plenty of trees which helps when the sun is really beating down in the afternoons. Most of the students travel in from the smaller villages nearby, some walking and others catching whatever bus is running that day. The classrooms are large enough, though they can get a bit stuffy during the summer months. We have some old benches and tables that have been around for years, but they still do the job. You will usually find a group of students standing around the gate talking about their exams or just passing the time between their lectures. It isn't a fast-paced place. Everything moves at its own speed here. The staff room is usually cluttered with piles of papers and half-empty tea cups, especially around finals week. We try to keep the gardens looking okay, but the grass grows fast. It is just a place for learning and getting through the degree years. People around Bhedabahal know us well enough. We aren't trying to be anything other than a local college for the people who live around here. It gets the job done for the kids who want to stay close to home while they study for their future.
