Showket Ahmad Khanday

Showket Ahmad Khanday is the name on the shop, and I am located in Meej, Pampore, in Pulwama. This is a quiet area mostly, though it gets busy during certain seasons. I have been operating here for quite a while now, providing whatever items are necessary for the local community. My daily routine involves opening up the shop early in the morning and seeing what needs to be done. Sometimes there are deliveries to check, and other times I’m just waiting for the first customer to walk in. The shop is tucked away in the Meej area, and most of my customers are my neighbors or people I have known for years. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks here; people just come because they know I am here and they trust what I sell. It can be a bit lonely during the slow hours, especially when the weather is bad outside, but there is always something to reorganize on the shelves. I keep a variety of general items, trying to make sure that no one has to travel too far for their basic needs. It is a humble way to live, but it is honest work. I handle everything myself, from the cleaning to the accounts. Being a local in Pulwama, I understand what the people here need, and I try to keep those things in stock as much as I can.
