Shakeel Ahmad

I am Shakeel Ahmad and my place is located in the Khanyar area of Srinagar. If you are familiar with the 190003 region, you probably know Bohri Kadal. That is where I spend most of my days. It is a very old and busy part of the city. My business isn't a big company with many branches. It is just me working here. The streets are often full of people and the sound of the market is always there. I have been in this spot for a long time and I’ve seen many things change in Srinagar. The winters can be very cold and sometimes the business slows down because of the snow and the chill in the air. But we keep going. I don't have a fancy office or any marketing people telling me what to say. I just talk to my customers like I would talk to my friends. We handle different kinds of things depending on what is needed in the locality. It is a very practical way of living. I don't believe in making big promises that I can't keep. I just show up every day and do my work. People know they can find me here in Bohri Kadal if they need something. It’s a small, honest setup and that is enough for me. The community here is tight and everyone knows everyone else. It’s a good feeling to be part of that.
