Sajad Ahmad Mujoo

Sajad Ahmad Mujoo is a shop located in the Kadalbal area of Pampore. You can find us right in the Pulwama district, not far from the other local businesses on the main stretch. We deal in general provisions and daily necessities that the families around here require. The shop is a bit small, so we have to use every inch of the walls for shelving. We have bags of pulses and flour stacked on the floor near the back. It is a one-man show most of the time, so I handle the sales, the cleaning, and the ordering myself. The light inside is a bit dim because the windows are small, but it stays warm enough in the winter. We get a lot of people coming in for saffron since this is Pampore, but mostly it is just flour and salt. I try to keep the shop tidy, but with all the sacks moving in and out, there is always a bit of dust. I’ve known the people here for many years, so it feels more like helping out neighbors than running a business. We don't have any flyers or advertisements. Word of mouth is how people find us, or they just see the shop while walking to the bus stop. The lock on the front door is a bit sticky and needs some oil. It is just a regular life here, working from morning till the sun goes down and checking the stock.
