If you ever find yourself wandering around Meej Pampore, you might come across my place. I am Mohammad Amin Khanday, and this has been my base for quite a few years now. Being in Pulwama means dealing with all kinds of weather, from the hot sun to the deep snow in winter, but this spot in 192121 stays steady through it all. I have a small room where I keep everything I need for my work. It is not a very large space, but it is enough for one person to stay busy. I don't really go for all the modern office stuff you see in the news. I prefer my old wooden desk and the window that looks out onto the street. You can see people going about their business in Pampore from there. It is a good way to keep track of what is happening in the village. My work is pretty straightforward, and I do not try to make it sound more complicated than it is. I take care of the people who come to me, and they seem to appreciate that I am just a regular person like them. Sometimes I lose my pen or forget where I put a specific paper, but eventually, everything gets sorted out. It is just a natural part of working for yourself in a place like this. No stress, just regular work.
