Khurshid Wani

Khurshid Wani is located right on Ram Bagh Ig Road, which is a busy stretch of Srinagar. Being near the Govnd Joint Hospital means there are always people moving around outside. The space we have is simple and doesn't have any of those modern glass partitions or bright neon signs. It’s a very practical setting. When you walk in, you’ll see some desks and maybe a few chairs that have seen a lot of use. The walls are mostly bare except for a calendar or two. In 190008, people just want to get things done, and that’s the vibe we try to maintain. It’s an honest kind of place. The traffic on Ig Road can be quite a lot during the afternoons, so the sound of horns is usually the background noise here. We don’t spend money on expensive carpets; the floor is just plain and easy to sweep. A lot of the people who come by are locals from the surrounding blocks. They know the name and they know where to find us. It feels like a regular part of the day to be here. There’s no corporate talk or polished speeches. If someone needs help, they just come in and ask. It’s how things have always worked in this part of Srinagar, and we don't see any reason to change it now. It is just a steady, working environment that keeps its doors open for the neighborhood people. We stay focused on the tasks at hand.
