Wani Crafts

We are located in Safakaddal, at a place called Chrarnamabal. This is a part of the city where things feel a bit older and more traditional. Wani Crafts is a small workshop more than anything else. You have to walk through some narrow streets to find us. It’s the kind of place where you can hear the sounds of the neighborhood—kids playing, people talking outside their houses, and the occasional bicycle bell. Inside our space, we have our tools and the raw materials we use for our crafts. It’s usually a bit of a mess with wood shavings or bits of thread everywhere, depending on what we are working on that day. We don’t have a big staff, just a few local people who have been doing this kind of work since they were young. We sit on the floor or at low tables mostly. The light comes in through the small windows and we work as long as it stays bright enough. We don’t follow a corporate schedule; we just work until the task is done. Sometimes we take long breaks to talk to neighbors who stop by the door. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don’t have a fancy website or a big marketing plan. People find us because they know the area or they heard about us from someone else. It’s a simple way to earn a living in a place we’ve lived all our lives. We just keep at it.
