Kashmir Heritage Crafts

Kashmir Heritage Crafts is located in Haider Colony, which is a quiet spot in the Upper Soura area. We are on Lane No. 4, at House Number 19. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it doesn't feel like a typical business district at all. You have to walk down the lane to find us, and it’s mostly just houses and families living their lives. We’ve been operating out of this house for a long time. It’s a bit cramped sometimes with all the crafts we have stored, but it’s a comfortable place to be. The air up here in Soura is usually a bit cooler, and you can see the mountains on clear days. We don’t have a shop window or anything like that. People who come to see us usually know where they’re going or they ask a neighbor for directions to the house in Lane 4. It’s a very informal setup. We sit on the floor mostly and talk about what needs to be done. There’s always tea being made in the kitchen. It’s a slow pace of life here compared to the city center, and we like it that way. We aren't interested in being a big corporation with lots of rules. It’s just about the work and the people we know. Our neighbors are used to seeing us coming and going with parcels. It's just a regular home that doubles as our workspace, and it feels right for us.
