Kashmir Fresh Enterprises is located at Plot No. 02 in the K P Bagh area. If you know Srinagar, we are right near the Mehjoor Bridge. It is a very central spot which helps us get the fresh stuff in and out quickly before it gets old. The river is close by and you can feel the dampness in the air, especially in the mornings when the fog is thick over the bridge. We usually start very early while it is still dark to get the day's work sorted before the traffic starts. The warehouse is not anything fancy, just a big open space with some old wooden crates stacked up to the ceiling. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers and checking on the status of the trucks. Sometimes the traffic over Mehjoor Bridge gets really jammed up and we have to wait for our deliveries. We just sit and wait with some salted tea while we watch the people crossing the bridge. It is a bit of a hectic life sometimes, but we have been doing it for years now. The walls are a bit scuffed and the floor is always a bit messy from all the movement, but that is how a real business looks to us. We are not interested in having a polished office. We just want to make sure the produce is handled right.
