Our branch of Bqe Software Inc is located in the Pine Avenue Colony at House Number B 4. This is in the Rawalpora area, right off the Old Airport Road in Srinagar. Working in Kashmir means the weather really dictates how our day goes. When it snows, the commute can get tricky, and we spend a lot of time making sure the heaters are running so we can keep our fingers moving on the keyboards. The colony is a decent place, fairly quiet and away from the main noise of the airport traffic. Our office is a simple house-like structure where we have set up our workstations. It is a bit of a trek from the center of the city, but we like the relative peace here. We have a small kitchen where we make salt tea in the afternoons, which is a bit of a ritual for the staff. The walls are plain, and we have a lot of cables running around because of all the equipment we need. It is an honest, hardworking environment where we focus on the software tasks at hand without any unnecessary distractions. We don’t have a big lobby or a receptionist; you just walk in and see us at our desks. It is a very direct way of working, and it suits the local pace of life in Srinagar perfectly.
