Sri Kaameshvari Granite Industries

We are based out in Suputrapuram Village, right in the Venkatapuram area. It is mostly quiet around here except for when the trucks come in with the big granite blocks. We have been here for a while now, just doing our daily work with the stones. The yard gets pretty dusty when the sun is out and the wind blows, but that is just part of the job. Most of the guys here live nearby in the village so we all know each other well. We start early in the morning before it gets too hot to move the heavy stuff. You can hear the saws running from down the road when the work is in full swing. It is not a fancy setup at all, just some sheds and the crane for moving the heavy slabs around the lot. Sometimes the granite has hidden cracks we didn't see at first, so we have to work around those problems as they come up. We spend a lot of time just moving slabs from one side of the lot to the other so the next truck can get in and unload. During lunch, we usually sit under the big tree near the gate because it is the only place with real shade for us. The local kids sometimes come by to watch the big machines work for a bit. We just keep our heads down and get the cutting done. It is heavy work and your hands get rough after years of handling the stone. It is just a regular granite yard.
