Gramothan Farmer Producer Company Limited has its home at Shop No 02 in Khosa Colony. It is a small shop but it serves us well for everything we need to do. Khosa Colony is a decent neighborhood where things are mostly quiet until the morning rush starts. We have the name on a small board out front so people know they have found the right place. Inside the shop, we have stacked some sacks and have a desk where we handle the registrations and the farmer accounts. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when more than three or four people are inside at the same time. We usually just spill out onto the pavement to talk if it gets too full. The colony life is good because we are close to where a lot of the members live. You can hear the sounds of the local kids playing and the tea stalls nearby. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or expensive lights. The shop is plain and functional, which is how we like it. Gramothan is all about the local people here, and being in Shop No 02 makes us part of the daily life in the colony. We open up early and stay until the sun starts to go down. It is a simple way of living and working that suits us just fine. Some days are slow and others are hectic.
