Shrikant Motor Driving School

Down here in Marcela, Goa, Shrikant Motor Driving School has been helping people get behind the wheel for quite some time. The pace of life in this part of Goa is a bit slower than the tourist spots, but the roads still require a lot of attention. Our office is right here in the local area, nothing fancy, just a place to keep the car keys and some records. We spend most of our day out on the lanes around Marcela, teaching people how to navigate the turns and keep an eye on their mirrors. Driving is one of those things you just have to do to learn, so we keep the cars on the road as much as possible. We see a lot of local faces coming through our doors. It is a small community, so everyone kind of knows everyone else. Sometimes we have to deal with heavy rain during the monsoon, which makes teaching a bit more of a challenge, but we manage to get through it. The cars are basic and reliable, suited for the local terrain and the beginners who use them. We do not use any high-tech gadgets, just patience and practice. It is a lot of repeat instructions and watching the road carefully. People come to us when they are finally ready to stop relying on buses or bikes. We just do our bit to help them get their license and feel okay about driving on their own.
