Abdul Motor Driving School

Our driving school is based in Shop No G4 of Building A-3, which is right near the Margao Railway Station in Goa. Being so close to the station means there’s always a lot of foot traffic and the sound of trains coming and going. It’s a lively spot in Aquem Baixo. We started this because we saw how many people in Margao needed to learn to drive properly. The shop is small and simple, with just enough room to sit and talk to students about their lessons. Our cars are usually out on the road most of the day, circling the neighborhood or heading out to quieter streets for the real beginners. Teaching people to drive in Goa is interesting because you have to deal with narrow roads and sometimes a lot of tourists who don’t know where they’re going. We’ve taught all sorts of people, from young kids getting their first license to older folks who finally decided it was time to learn. It’s a lot of patience and repeating the same instructions until they get it right. We don't have any fancy simulators or big classrooms. We just get in the car and start the engine. The humidity can be tough during the monsoon, and the shop can get a bit damp, but we keep things running. It’s just us doing our thing near the tracks, helping the locals get behind the wheel day after day.
