Shree Uttam Steel & Power Ltd

We’re over on Masjid Road in Malbhat, right in the heart of Margao. Our office is at House No 224. It’s an old building, nothing like those glass towers you see in big cities. We handle things related to steel and power from here. It sounds like a big job, and it is, but the office itself feels pretty small and personal. There are usually files stacked up on every available surface. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers and checking on deliveries. Goa is known for beaches, but here in Margao, it’s all about the business of the town. We’ve been at this address for a while now. The rain during the monsoon season makes things interesting, sometimes we have to move stuff away from the windows. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy brochures. It's just a handful of us making sure the numbers add up and the steel gets to where it needs to go. Sometimes the local traffic outside makes it hard to hear, but we get used to it. We know the neighbors and the local shopkeepers. It’s a busy street with people always coming and going from the masjid nearby. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing every day. It is not glamorous, but it keeps us busy and pays the bills.
