Marmagoa Steel Limited

Marmagoa Steel Limited operates out of Niloba Niwas, specifically House Number 713 4 in the Ponawaddo area. This is in Curtorim, which is a part of Salcete in Goa. It is a really beautiful and quiet area, much nicer than the busy tourist spots near the beach. We aren't a massive industrial plant with loud machines and smoke; this place is more for our administrative work and local operations. The house is a traditional Goa style, and it honestly feels more like a home than a rigid office environment. We have desks set up in different rooms, and there is usually a nice breeze coming through the open windows in the morning. Dealing with the steel business isn't always easy, but we have been doing it for a very long time. The pace here in Curtorim is a bit slower than the city, which we all really appreciate. We know most of the neighbors in Ponawaddo by name. Sometimes a stray dog wanders into the yard to sleep, and we just let it stay in the shade. It is a very grounded way to run things. We don't wear suits and ties here. Most of us just wear casual clothes because of the heat and humidity. We spend our time focusing on logs and shipments and making sure the steel gets to where it needs to go. It’s a simple way of living in Salcete, but the work is important.
